At approximately 0935 hours, the Amwell Valley-Ringoes Rescue Squad, along with the Amwell Valley Fire Company and Hunterdon Medical Center MICU EMS-3, were dispatched to the intersection of John Ringo Road and Toad Lane for a major motor vehicle accident.  Chief Chmill was the first arriving unit and established command.  After assessing the scene, he determined that one patient had to be extricated from his vehicle.  At this time, command requested West Amwell Fire Company to assist with the extrication.  Both patients were flown to an area trauma center.  Units that responded included BLS 48-52 and BLS 48-55 from the Amwell Valley-Ringoes Rescue Squad as well as the Amwell Valley Fire Company, West Amwell Fire Company, Flemington-Raritan First Aid & Rescue Squad, Hunterdon Medical Center EMS-3, NorthSTAR, and Atlantic Air One.
